As I'm sure most of us do, I always find it a struggle getting back to school after holidays. Unfortunately, we all have to do it at some stage. To make the settle in a little bit quicker and not as stressful, here are a couple of tips I find great in getting back into routine. 1) Re-arrange your room By this, I don't mean rip down your wallpaper and start over, I just mean make it more comfortable for you. During the school term, the best thing is coming home to a room that makes you feel happy and in the zone. There is a balance though. Try to keep your room as tidy as possible, to keep your headspace tidy too! So do take that into consideration. 2) Tidy your laptop folders Get rid of any unnecessary documents or programs on your laptop. There are probably a heap of things that you don't actually use, that are just taking up more space! It will give you more room for your school work. 3) Surround yourself with inspiration A lot of what creates your grades is a reflection of the effort you put in, so why not get motivated with some inspiration? There are tonnes of ways in which you can do this. Like writing yourself positive little stick it notes, printing out your favourite quotes and sticking them on your wall and most importantly surrounding yourself with inspirational people. Get rid of toxic people from your life and don't look back girl! x 4) Organise your books Generally I like to have a book and a folder for each subject. It just makes everything easier. Remember you actually need to bring these to class for it to work! My worst habbit is receiving worksheets from teachers and leave them hanging around or shoved into a random book! Try not to do this hahaha. Put these little tips into action and you'll be set! Different things work for different people though, so customise them to your liking.
